Dances (Character Dances)
- The Irish Jig

- This Scottish version of the Irish Jig is a parody of an angry Irish washerwoman who finds some neighborhood boys knocking her clean wash to the ground. Another version describes a furious woman who shakes her firsts and flounces her skirt at husband who has been out drinking all night.
- The Sailor's Hornpipe

- The Sailor's Hornpipe is danced in a British sailor's uniform and is said to mock English sailors. The dance requires strength and stamina to keep the fast tempo. The dance parodies shipboard tasks including swabbing the deck, climbing the ship's rigging, shuffing coal, standing watch, and hauling in rope.
Other dances: Highland and National.
